Welcome to Central Middle School!
Central Middle School, located at 875 Hancock Street just outside Quincy Center, is a vibrant and diverse school community serving more than 650 students in grades 6–8. Since opening our state-of-the-art facility in 2013, Central has provided students with an engaging learning environment that embraces innovation, collaboration, and technology. We serve students from the Merrymount, Beechwood Knoll, Bernazzani, and Wollaston neighborhoods, as well as students from across Quincy through our Advanced Placement Center (APC).
At Central, we are committed to helping students become confident, independent, and engaged learners. Our dedicated staff promotes a supportive and inclusive community where students are encouraged to think critically and creatively, appreciate diverse perspectives, collaborate with others, and develop the skills and character needed to thrive in an ever-changing world.
Central is also home to Quincy Public Schools’ Advanced Placement Center (APC), which provides an enriched and accelerated academic experience for qualifying students in grades 6–8. The APC challenges students through rigorous coursework and opportunities for academic exploration while fostering curiosity, problem-solving, and a love of learning.
